Ring magnet 29mm x 10mm x 10mm Strontium-Ferrite
The ferrite magnet particles are ground into particles smaller than 2 μm , so small that each particle consists of a single magnetic domain . The powder is then pressed into shape, dried and sintered again. The shaping can be carried out in an external magnetic field in order to achieve the preferred orientation of the particles ( anisotropy ) . Strontium ferrite, SrFe12O19 (SrO 6Fe2O3), small in electric motors, he records data in data carriers, magneto-optical data carriers, telecommunications and electronics (SrFe12O19) is well known for its high coercivity due to its magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
